Thanksgiving 2011, pt 2

Friday after doing some Black Friday shopping in the morning, we helped Jade celebrate her birthday. We started with a string maze around the swingset, which led to a goody bag plus one word (well, partial word) of a clue for each of the four girls. It was hilarious watching them try to figure out the clue. The answer was "washing machine," but Tuell had broken them up into WAS,  HING,  MAC, and  HINE. Jade was convinced the clue was something in Chinese!

At last they figured out the clue, and inside the washing machine they found our next activity: Tie Dye! They each got a white shirt to dye, and thankfully the weather was nice enough so we could stay outdoors with the inevitable mess. Melaina's shirt started out looking nice, but gradually she kept adding more and more dye, until it was a nasty brownish mud color. Jade poured dye all over her hands and made handprints on the back of her shirt, then spent the next hour scrubbing the dye off her hands. Silly girls!

Tuell was able to help Bo a bit in the yard on Saturday. That boy likes his power tools!
