Pre-Christmas: Parties & Hot Chocolate Overdose

The last week of school before Christmas break is always crazy, and this year was no exception. I had several etsy orders to fulfill, plus I had promised the girls I would finish their new winter coats. Livian and Avalie both chose faux fur this year, which is a big pain, but they turned out pretty cute. At school, some of the PTA moms decided to host a luncheon for all the teachers, so I was in and out of the school Wednesday helping with that. Thursday afternoon were the class parties. I was able to help out with those as well, and I managed to make it to both girls' classrooms to participate in each of their parties. Much easier than last year, when I had to split myself three ways!

Sunday our small group had a little holiday gathering, with some appetizer-type foods and a book exchange for the kids. I love that group!

Tuell took off work for two weeks beginning the 19th, so we had the whole week before Christmas with everyone home. We had big plans to do some fun things, but a stomach bug hit a couple members of our family early in the week, so things were on hold for a few days. When at last everyone felt better, we madly crammed in a bunch of fun stuff at the end of the week!

Wednesday night we used our Six Flags annual passes to go to Holiday in the Park. It was cold, but we got a bottomless hot chocolate mug and stayed warm the yummy way. We all got to experience the sledding ride, which of course uses fake snow. Fake snow is just weird.
